To learn the use of voltage controlled current supply and the discrepancies on a signal caused by a motor.
Procedure
With a constant voltage supply and a MOSFET the current to the motor can be adjusted with a variable resistor.
With a squarewave generated by a function generator, the duty cycle of the function generator controlled the current sent to the motor.
Conclusion
We saw that the current sent to the motor can be adjusted in two ways: by resistance, and the duty cycle. With the variable resistor, control is not easy with a circuit design(i.e. something mechanical must be done), whereas with the duty cycle, only additional electronics was needed to control current.
